ACTIVATE means to "make active" - that is, "Characterized by ACTION, rather than contemplation or speculation."

Our Mission is to inspire & equip people to BE everything that God has created them to be; and to DO everything that God is calling them to do.

As a church we're passionate about pursuing the presence of God in our Sunday gatherings. We prioritize worship, and recognize that our role is to respond to what He's doing, not the other way around.

It doesn't matter what we may have planned, or what programs are running - when God starts to move, everything changes!

Meet The Team

Josh & Liz van Berkel

Senior Leader / Children's Pastor

Josh is a strong communicator who loves to create opportunities for people to encounter the presence of God. Liz carries a passion for the prophetic and oversees the children's ministry, which includes three of their own!

Abel & Kira Robb

Elders/Worship & Young Adults Leaders

Abel & Kira have a passion for worship, and to see young people connected and thriving in their local church community. They both work in the education sector, Abel as a primary school teacher and Kira as an ESOL teacher.

Mala Gwynne

Pastoral Care Co-Ordinator

Originally from Singapore, Mala is a warm, kind and compassionate person who emanates the love of Jesus to everyone around her. If you pop along for a visit, it won't be long before Mala's making you feel welcome!

Dan & Amanda Cracknell

Elders

If Activate ChCh has a 'jack-of-all-trades' then it has to be Dan. He's an elder, he preaches, he leads the gathering, he even helps out on the Host team. Amanda also wears multiple hats, as a new mum, an elder and worship leader!

Stephen Forrester

Elder

Steve comes from a Salvation Army background and loves to see people equipped, empowered and released into all God is calling them to be. He's encouraging, supportive - and if you need them, has a lot of tips to improve your golf game!

Denise Healey

Elder

Denise carries a strong prophetic anointing and is a highly valued member of the team. She has decades of experience on the mission field, and loves to see the Holy Spirit move!
